Google Analytics 4, checked against verified attribution

GA4 estimates which channel deserves credit; Attribi verifies it against your CRM. This connection is read-only: Attribi imports session, user, key-event, and revenue metrics from your GA4 property by day and channel, twelve months of history plus every day going forward, and never writes anything back to GA4. It's rolling out while Google reviews the read-only scope the connection requests, so it may not be available to connect from your account yet.

Read-only GA4 channel import

Planned Imports

Attribi reads session, user, key-event, and revenue metrics by day and channel straight from your GA4 property through Google's Analytics Data API. Only the analytics.readonly scope is requested, and nothing is ever written back to GA4.

12-month historical baseline

Planned Imports

A one-time backfill imports twelve months of GA4 channel history in month-sized chunks, so the comparison has a baseline from before Attribi's own tracking existed on your site.

Daily sync

Planned Imports

Each day Attribi re-pulls the trailing few days of GA4 data, since GA4 itself revises its numbers for roughly 48 hours after they first appear.

GA4 vs verified comparison

Planned Imports

GA4's own session, key-event, and revenue numbers per channel sit next to Attribi's CRM-verified conversions for the same channel, so a channel GA4 over- or under-credits stands out. Not yet available; on the roadmap.

Setting up Google Analytics

  1. 1

    Connect your Google Analytics account

Sign in with the Google account that manages your GA4 property and grant Attribi read-only access. Attribi requests analytics.readonly and nothing else, so it can never change a report, an audience, or a setting in your GA4 account.

  2. 2

Pick the GA4 property to import

Choose the property from the list Attribi reads back from your Google account. Attribi imports twelve months of its history in the background, then keeps daily channel metrics current from that day forward.

  3. 3

    Compare GA4 against verified attribution

Once channel data lands, Attribi sits GA4's own numbers next to your CRM-verified conversions for the same channel, so a channel GA4 over- or under-credits stands out instead of being taken on faith.

Frequently asked questions

Does Attribi change anything in my GA4 property?

No. The connection requests only the analytics.readonly scope, so Attribi can read channel metrics and never write a report, an audience, or a setting back to GA4.

What does Attribi import from GA4?

Sessions, users, key events, and revenue, broken out by day and by GA4's own default channel group. That is the same shape GA4 shows in its own reports, imported so it can sit next to Attribi's numbers for comparison.

Why does the historical import take a while?

Attribi imports twelve months of GA4 history in month-sized chunks to stay inside Google's Analytics Data API quotas, so the comparison has a baseline from before Attribi's own tracking existed on your site. It runs in the background; you do not need to wait for it.

Does this replace my Google Ads or Meta Ads conversion tracking?

No. GA4 is a read-only import used for comparison, not a platform Attribi uploads conversions to or pulls conversions from. Your ad platform connections keep uploading conversions the same way whether or not GA4 is connected.

Is Google Analytics available to connect today?

Google requires an app-level verification review for the read-only scope this connection uses, and that review has to clear before the connect button goes live for every Attribi account. Until then, the property picker is not reachable from the Connections page.
